What is a Vampire Facial and FaceLift?

For Cedar Park and surronding Austin area residents who are looking for another way to look naturally younger, the Vampire Facial® and Facelift® are great treatments for anti-aging without surgery.

The Vampire Facial® and Vampire Facelift® differs from other forms of facelifts in that it does not involve any surgical incisions. Vampire Facial® is our SkinPen micro-needling + PRP.  The Vampire Facelift® is a combination of our SkinPen micro-needling + volumizers (Derma Fillers – i.e. Juvederm) + PRP (isolated stem cells from our own blood) that are injected under the skin to bring back your youthful smoother rosier skin, naturally.

Only doctors who have been trained and certified by the inventor of the procedure (Dr. Charles Runels) may perform the trademarked “Vampire Facelift®”.  Dr. Laurette Smith is certified to perform this procedure and has a passion for Skin Health and Rejuvenation with her clients.

Vampire Facelift® can lift droopy eyes, and help minimize the sagging jowls around the chin and cheek areas.

Basically, the Vampire Facial® uses your own blood to stimulate your body to release certain factors that improve skin quality. It belongs to a class of treatments that have become popular in recent years as people search for safe and effective treatments to help them look and feel younger. One advantage of the treatment is that it does not use any artificial chemicals, only ingredients that your body naturally produces.

How Does It Work?

The Vampire Facial®  involves removing blood from the client’s body, centrifuging it, and separating platelet-rich plasma, or PRP, from the red blood cells. Your face is prepared for the enriching ingredients with micro-needling. After that, the PRP is applied to the face. Platelet-rich plasma is chock-full of proteins and other factors that can rejuvenate the skin. Part of the process of applying PRP actually involves tricking your body into believing that it has been injured, causing your body to release growth factors and other powerful proteins.

Am I a Good Candidate?

Most women and men considering a Vampire Facial® are looking to regain the look and feel of skin that is refreshed and free of wrinkles. The treatment encourages the body to repair damaged skin in areas that the PRP has been applied. The following skin types would be good candidates for treatment:

  • Sun-damaged skin
  • Lined or wrinkled skin
  • Prematurely aged skin
  • Skin with general wear and tear
